Eligibility criteria
The following candidates are eligible to apply:
- Persons holding an upper secondary school leaving certificate or equivalent, giving the right to apply to studies at all types of higher education institutions according to relevant rules binding in the country of origin of the candidate;
- Persons whose upper secondary school leaving certificate includes two subjects:
- biology,
- chemistry or physics.

Candidates are qualified on the basis of a written test in English and a selection interview in English.

Result of the qualification procedure (W) is calculated according to the following formula:
W = W1 + W2
where:
W1 – stands for the number of points obtained for the test,
W2 – stands for the number of points for the selection interview.
* The written test in English verifies the candidates' knowledge and ability to use the specialist terminology in the field of biology, chemistry and physics.
The test is evaluated according to a grading scale of 0-200 points.
** The selection interview conducted in the English language assesses the candidates' motivation to study medicine, their experience in working for aid organisations, and their interpersonal and communication skills.

A candidate holding an IB (International Baccalaureate) Diploma, issued by the International Baccalaureate Organisation with a registered office in Geneva, or an EB (European Baccalaureate) Diploma, which includes examination grades from two subjects taken at advanced level and in English: a) biology and b) chemistry or physics, does not take the written test. When entering grades of the school-leaving examination, conversion should be made in accordance with the table below:

A candidate holding a Polish upper secondary school leaving examination certificate (maturity certificate) awarded for taking the school leaving examination within the bilingual education system with English as one of the languages of instruction, which includes examination grades from two subjects taken at advanced level: a) biology and b) chemistry or physics, does not take the written test. When entering grades of the school-leaving examination, conversion should be made as follows:
1 % = 1 point
The requirement for admission is obtaining a minimum of 300 points at the entrance examination, that is the written test and the selection interview in total.
