Preliminary requirements
Admission is open to candidates who have::
1. 1) a secondary school leaving certificate or equivalent, entitling the holder to apply for admission to higher education institutions of any type in accordance with the regulations in force in the country where the certificate was issued,
2. 2) two subjects on the secondary school leaving certificate:
a) Biology,
b) Chemistry or Physics.
Qualification rules
Candidates are selected on the basis of a written test in English and a qualification interview in English.

Result of the qualification procedure (W) is calculated according to the following formula:
W = W1 + W2
where:
W1 – stands for the number of points obtained for the test,
W2 – stands for the number of points for the admission interview.
* Written test in English assessing knowledge and ability to use specialist vocabulary in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
The test is graded on a scale from 0 to 200 points. The test is conducted in person in Bydgoszcz. Information about the address and room number will be sent to the candidate by the University Recruitment Commission via the IRK system no later than one day before the test.
** An interview in English assessing motivation to study medicine, experience in aid organisations, interpersonal skills and communication skills.
The interview is graded on a scale from 0 to 200 points.
At the candidate's request, the interview may be conducted remotely. The candidate must submit such a request to the University Recruitment Commission no later than the last day of registration.
Candidates who hold a secondary school leaving certificate containing grades from two subjects taken at advanced level in English: a) Biology and b) Chemistry or Physics, are not required to take the written examination. The results of the IB (International Baccalaureate) diploma issued by the International Baccalaureate Organisation based in Geneva, the EB (European Baccalaureate) diploma and other secondary school leaving certificates are converted in accordance with the applicable rector's order.
A candidate who holds a Polish secondary school leaving certificate obtained as part of the secondary school leaving examination in bilingual classes with English, which includes grades from two advanced level subjects: a) Biology and b) Chemistry or Physics, is not required to take the written test, and the following conversion is applied when entering the matura examination results: 1% = 1 point.
The condition for admission to the programme is obtaining a minimum of 300 points in the entrance examination, i.e. the written examination and the qualification interview combined.
