Will the interview be conducted online or in person?
Interviews in English will be conducted online.
Where can I find deadlines for each admission round?
Deadlines for submission of documents and full enrollment (including the application fee payment) are listed in the IRK system (click on a chosen programme to see more details).
I added all the personal information and submitted the required documents but there is a notification saying that the enrollment is not active
It may have happened that you missed some steps in your application. Please check if your personal data is filled out and you uploaded all documents according to the admission guide (https://www.umk.pl/en/admissions/IRK_step_by_step.pdf). The system also requires a language certificate - maybe this is the problem.
Can I use my Duolingo English Test results as a confirmation of English language proficiency?
No, you cannot. List of accepted English language certificates may be found here: https://www.umk.pl/en/admissions/REQUIRED_DOCUMENTS.pdf (point 8).
Where can I find requirements for admission to studies in Polish?
Foreigners interested in studying in Polish may visit: https://www.umk.pl/kandydaci/cudzoziemcy/
I cannot find the payment options
Log into your IRK account, go to “Payments” tab – choose the payment option – either Przelewy24 (an online payment system) or making a transfer to your individual NCU account number for university-related payments.
Is the application fee payment required?
Yes, it is. Without the payment of the application fee your application will not be considered in the admission process. Please remember that we do not evaluate unpaid applications.
I am experiencing issues while trying to complete the application. Specifically, I am unable to upload the following documents: CV, cover letter, certificates other than the required ones.
You should submit documents required by the system. If there is no space for your CV it means that the system does not require you to upload a CV. If you wish to add any documents apart from the required ones to be taken into account during admission, you may add them in your Personal forms – Education – Documents - Certificates and other documents.

In general, your documents (if not issued in English) should be translated into either English or Polish.
How do I know when my application has been verified?
You will see it in the system when you click on Enrollment applications. You will also receive a message in the IRK system from our admission team. Check the IRK step-by-step admission guide for more information: https://www.umk.pl/en/admissions/IRK_step_by_step.pdf
Does the University offer any scholarships?
While the NCU does not offer any scholarships for candidates, there is a wide variety of scholarship possibilities for our students. Candidates may apply for scholarships offered by NAWA: https://www.umk.pl/en/admissions/scholarship/
I am planning to apply for the NAWA scholarship. Are there any deadlines or specific processes for candidates who apply for admission and a NAWA scholarship?
You apply for a NAWA scholarship independently and it is not correlated with our system. In our system you should just mark the box in which you state that you are applying for a NAWA scholarship. Admission to NCU and a NAWA scholarship procedures are independent - you participate in admission as usual with all the other candidates and the NAWA scholarship grant provides funding for your studies as well as a monthly allowance for a student. NAWA scholarship does not influence the admission to studies procedure.

The document which entitles you to undertake studies is your diploma, not your language certificate.
I don’t know what should I choose – apostille or legalization?
You may check if your country is a Contracting Party of the HCCH (Hague Conference on Private International Law – Conférence de La Haye de droit international privé) 1961 Apostille Convention: https://www.hcch.net/en/instruments/conventions/status-table/?cid=41
If yes – you should apply for apostille. Documents from countries which are not part of this convention must follow legalization (or authentication) - you should look for the closest diplomatic mission. More information on apostille/legalization may be found here: https://www.umk.pl/en/admissions/APOSTILLE_OR_LEGALISATION.pdf
Do I have to legalize my documents with the Polish embassy before applying for a program?
You can apply first and simultaneously finalize legalization at the Embassy. Please read the instruction on the website https://www.umk.pl/en/admissions/University_diploma_bachelor.pdf
