Qualification principles

Candidates are qualified on the basis of an entry examination which consists of two stages:

  1. first stage – a written test held in English*
  2. second stage – an admission interview held in English**

*The written test in English evaluates the knowledge of and ability to use specialised terminology in the scope of biology, chemistry and physics.
The test is evaluated using the scale of 0 to 50 points

The necessary condition for being admitted to the second stage of the qualification procedure is obtaining a minimum of 25 points for the written test.

**The admission interview in English evaluates the following:

  • the candidate’s proficiency in English (max. 25 points),
  • knowledge in the field of natural and exact sciences (max. 25 points),
  • the candidate’s predispositions to study Medicine (max. 25 points).

The admission interview is evaluated using the scale of 0 to 75 points.

The result of the qualification procedure (W) is calculated using the formula: W = W1/2 + W2

where:
W1 - number of points for the test,
W2 - number of points for the interview.

A minimum of 70 points must be obtained in the admission process in order to become admitted to the study programme.
