Eligibility criteria

  • Bachelor, Master or equivalent degree awarded in the English philology field entitling the candidate to undertake master level education (with apostille or legalized)
  • Bachelor, Master or equivalent degree awarded in Literary studies or / and Linguistics entitling the candidate to undertake master level education (with apostille or legalized). In this case, a candidate may be qualified on the basis of a certificate of English language proficiency corresponding to level C1 of The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages

 Qualification principles

1) Oral exam excluding candidates distinguished in §18 point 4 of Resolution No. 46 of the UMK Senate of 25 June 2024 on the conditions and procedure for recruiting foreigners for the first year of studies in the academic year 2025/2026 at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. The exam tests the knowledge and predispositions of candidates to undertake studies in the selected field, level and profile of education. The exam is assessed on a scale of 0-100 points. The minimum qualification is 40 points.

2) Selective/competitive admission based on diploma grades/scores. The candidate is required to submit a diploma supplement or a certificate issued by the university where he/she completed his/her studies on the grades obtained from exams and credits in first-cycle studies.
